Dan Witchell graduated from Camberwell College of Art with his work already published in Creative Review. After a period of freelancing he created an identity for which he won a Gold BDA award before moving into retail design, with Conran Design Group. After a brief spell travelling Witchell spent 3 years in broadcast design, as Creative Director at Kemistry, before establishing Proud Creative in 2005.
As founder and full time curator of Kemistry Gallery in Shoreditch, Witchell can take credit for breaking Parra in the UK, whilst also bringing over Geoff McFetridge, Gregory Gilbert-Lodge and Experimental Jetset, not to mention his support of UK talent - UVA, Daniel Eatock and Eine.
